Whether you’re building our products, supporting our customers, growing our community, or shaping our story, you’ll help define what comes next.</span></p></div><h2>About the Role:</h2> <p>Vercel is hiring a Head of Developer Community to evolve and scale our developer ecosystem strategy within the Marketing organization.</p> <p>You will report to the Head of Marketing Programs & Vercel Media and lead the team that is responsible for owning and expanding Vercel’s existing Developer-Facing programs, leading ecosystem partnerships, and defining our global conference and sponsorship strategy across the developer ecosystem.</p> <p>This is a strategic, externally facing role focused on strengthening Vercel’s influence across the modern web ecosystem. You ll be in a player/coach role, leading a small team while operating directly to deepen relationships with open source maintainers and ecosystem leaders, ensure our sponsorships and conference presence are high-impact, and position Vercel at the center of key developer conversations.</p> <p>If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NYC, or Austin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team.</p> <h2>What You Will Do:</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Own and evolve Vercel’s Developer-Facing programs</strong>, refining sponsorship frameworks, strengthening maintainer relationships, and increasing the programs visibility and measurable impact across the ecosystem.</li> <li><strong>Define and lead Vercel’s developer ecosystem strategy</strong>, identifying priority focus areas, building high-leverage partnerships, and positioning Vercel at the center of the modern web.</li> <li><strong>Own global conference and sponsorship strategy</strong>, determining where and how Vercel shows up, representing the company at flagship events, and establishing clear ROI for ecosystem investments.</li> <li><strong>Shape developer thought leadership and narrative</strong>, contributing to Vercel Media and ensuring our ecosystem presence reinforces brand, product positioning, and long-term marketing goals.</li> <li><strong>Drive cross-functional alignment</strong>, partnering with Developer Experience, Community, Product Marketing, and Brand to translate ecosystem strategy into scalable activation.</li> </ul> <h2>About You:</h2> <ul> <li>6+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Marketing, OSS leadership, or ecosystem strategy; with 1+ year of team management experience </li> <li>Experience owning or scaling an existing open source or ecosystem program.</li> <li>Strong relationships within the modern web or open source community.</li> <li>Experience managing sponsorship investments and evaluating ROI.</li> <li>Proven conference speaking experience at high-visibility developer events.</li> <li>Ability to connect ecosystem initiatives to measurable marketing and business impact.</li> <li>Deep technical
