Skeleton Technologies is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Markranstädt, Germany. Our power systems protect GPU clusters from millisecond-level spikes, enable hyperscalers to run at higher rack densities without grid compromise, and make AI data centers up to more 40% energy efficient. We keep the lights on when grids fluctuate, stabilising electrical infrastructure under the combined pressure of accelerating renewable energy deployment and surging AI demand. When power fails, critical operations stop. We exist to prevent that in microseconds. Powering the infrastructure that powers everything else. Responsibilities Own the balance sheet and month-end close for our two German entities, working closely with the group accounting team in Estonia, which handles accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking. Prepare monthly financial statements, annual reports and local statutory reports. Prepare or coordinate tax returns and local tax reporting together with our external tax advisors. Review and record accruals and other period-end adjustments. Lead external audits as the main contact for the auditors. Act as the contact for government institutions, external advisors, payroll partners and internal stakeholders. Identify financial and tax risks, propose solutions and take the lead on new topics as they arise. Develop and document accounting processes and policies to strengthen internal controls. Support stock takes and other on-site activities in Markranstädt when needed. Requirements Several years of experience in German accounting, including financial statements and tax reporting. Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors. Background in an in-house finance team or in a tax advisory or audit firm. Fluent German and good working English, as you will report to the Group Chief Accountant who works in English. Experience with ERP systems. Knowledge of Epicor is an advantage but not required. Experience in a manufacturing or production company is an advantage. A structured way of working and a strong sense of ownership. You keep things in order and get them done today, not tomorrow. Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your area. Willingness to work on site in Markranstädt regularly. Hybrid working is possible.
