What this job can offer you • The opportunity to shape the future direction of Remote’s global payroll products • Strategic ownership of how compliance requirements are translated into scalable product capabilities • Direct influence over product roadmap decisions, regulatory readiness, and market expansion initiatives • Partnership with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Legal, and Payroll Operations • The ability to build compliance-by-design principles into products used by customers around the world • A high-impact leadership role that helps transform compliance into a strategic business advantage What you bring Product Strategy & Compliance Expertise • Deep understanding of global payroll, employment, tax, and labor compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions • Experience translating complex regulatory requirements into scalable product capabilities, business requirements, and operational processes • Strong understanding of payroll technology, product development lifecycles, and compliance-by-design principles • Ability to balance regulatory obligations with customer experience, automation, and commercial objectives • Experience supporting global payroll products in highly regulated environments Leadership & Organizational Development • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams within Compliance, Product Compliance, Payroll, or related functions • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities with a track record of building team capability and future leaders • Experience establishing strategic priorities, operating models, and governance frameworks • Ability to drive alignment and execution across multiple workstreams and stakeholders • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments Strategic Thinking & Risk Management • Ability to assess complex regulatory requirements and determine practical, scalable implementation approaches • Experience developing long-term strategies that support business growth while maintaining regulatory compliance • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a risk-based mindset • Ability to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks that may impact product strategy • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and navigating competing priorities Stakeholder Management & Communication • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex
