As a Senior FP&A Analyst, Cloud Hosting, you’ll be a finance partner on GitLab’s Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. Reporting to the Manager, FP&A, you’ll provide timely, fact-based analysis and decision support for cloud and AI infrastructure investments. You’ll turn complex financial, billing, and operational data into clear insights that help engineering and finance leaders make informed decisions. What You’ll Do • Manage and report on cloud and AI-related expenses, maintaining forecast models that incorporate actual results, usage drivers, and business drivers. • Execute recurring month-end close activities, including accruals, allocations, reconciliations, variance analysis, and close commentary. • Support forecasting and annual planning cycles, and build or enhance financial models to answer new and evolving business questions. • Partner with engineering, product, procurement, accounting, and finance stakeholders to gather inputs, resolve data questions, explain results, and support spending decisions. • Access and analyze cloud billing information from provider consoles, billing exports, and other data sources, then translate findings into clear narratives, recommendations, and decision-support materials. • Use AI tools to automate and improve recurring analysis, reporting, data preparation, and other finance workflows while improving data quality, accuracy, scalability, and operating efficiency. • Own deliverables, communicate progress and risks proactively, and manage changing priorities in GitLab’s distributed, asynchronous environment.
