Role description As Senior Project Manager, you will join our central Project Management team in Reinbek, which leads the company's large and complex cross-functional projects and sets the standards for how projects are run across all of arethia's global locations. Join us during a pivotal growth phase and help create the foundations of a team that will drive meaningful transformation across the organisation. You will independently lead complex projects with senior stakeholders across departments, and you will be the person we turn to when a project has drifted off course and needs to be brought back on track. This is a delivery role first, and it is also a chance to shape how project management works in a growing, international company: you will contribute to our standards and methods, support colleagues who run their own projects and help build a project management community across our sites. As the team grows, so does the scope of what you can take on. Your Mission Project Leadership – Lead large, cross-functional projects independently from initiation to closure, including planning, governance, steering committees and stakeholder management. Problem Solving - Facilitate and actively participate in problem-solving sessions to drive project success Project Recovery – Take over projects that have drifted off course or lost their lead, diagnose what went wrong and re-establish structure as interim or permanent lead. Stakeholder Management – Navigate demanding situations with senior leadership and across departments and prepare well-founded decisions for steering committees. Quality and Coaching – Support department-led projects as quality assurance and sparring partner and coach project managers on their deliverables. Standards and Methods – Contribute to our project management standards, templates and training formats, and turn project experience into reusable methods. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Several years of experience independently leading complex, cross-functional projects with full ownership from initiation to closure. Experience working with senior stakeholders and navigating conflicting interests across departments. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Experience taking over or stabilising projects already in progress. Ability to work independently, propose solutions and make decisions within your remit. Business-level communication skills in German and English (C1). g. for task and milestone tracking. Qualifications Experience with an ERP or comparable large-scale system implementation. IPMA Level C or equivalent. A higher level is a plus. Experience in a manufacturing or regulated production environment. Experience developing project management standards, templates or training formats. Experience with Jira and Confluence. Experience working in an international, multi-site organisation.
