The Role We are looking for a Junior Automation Engineer to grow into the technical care of the Facilities Monitoring and Control System (FMCS) behind our fab - the system that supervises every utility our production depends on, from cleanroom air and chilled water to process cooling, exhaust and power monitoring. Here's the best part: you'll join during the final commissioning phase, working side by side with the specialists who bring the system to life. You'll learn it hands-on while the people who built it are still on site - and grow, step by step, into independent ownership. It's about as good a launchpad for a career in automation engineering as you'll find. Qualifications One of two equivalent qualification paths: a completed apprenticeship as an Electronics Technician for Automation Technology plus further training as a state-certified technician (Techniker), or comparable - or a degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related field, or comparable 2–3 years of professional experience with initial hands-on exposure Basic knowledge of PLC programming and/or SCADA - ideally in a Siemens environment (S7 / TIA Portal, WinCC OA), but a solid foundation on comparable platforms plus a willingness to learn ours is just as welcome Curiosity about how a large automation system fits together - from field instrument to operator screen - and eagerness to learn loop checks, diagnostics and commissioning on the real system A careful, team-oriented way of working Good command of English; German is an advantage If your application results in an employment relationship, your Applicant Data will be transferred to our personnel records and processed in accordance with applicable legal requirements; otherwise, your Applicant Data will be retained for up to six (6) months after completion of the recruitment process.
