This involves continuous iteration and experimentation to provide the best possible journey for each type of user. • Order Management and Integrity : Horizon acts as the source of truth for user orders, ensuring their accuracy and reliability. The team handles critical processes such as order creation, autopilot selection, and delivery eligibility based on user addresses, guaranteeing a seamless experience from selection to fulfillment. The Role: As a Staff Full Stack Engineer on the Horizons Squad, you will play a crucial role in leading technical initiatives, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers as we scale our user experiences. You’ll work on building and optimizing backend services and APIs that power CookUnity’s experience. This role involves working on the Server-Driven UI (SDUI) service within our Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture, as well as developing and maintaining backend services and databases. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives on complexity and enjoys designing scalable, resilient, and high-performing backend systems. You will collaborate closely with engineering leadership, product managers, and cross-functional teams—including Data teams—to build and improve mission-critical infrastructure that enables personalized user experiences across our platform. We’re looking for someone who can bring strong system design expertise, lead projects from concept to deployment, and set a high technical bar for the team while driving forward best practices in software engineering.
