Available Locations: Bangalore / Mumbai What you will do The Strategic Pursuits Customer Engineer (CE) is a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner to a focused portfolio of Cloudflare’s most important accounts. You will work alongside account teams and senior customer stakeholders to understand each organization’s business priorities, technology landscape, and long-term transformation agenda—and translate them into measurable outcomes with Cloudflare. This role combines deep technical credibility with strategic account leadership. You will shape multi-year technical strategy, connect Cloudflare’s platform capabilities to enterprise-wide initiatives, and orchestrate the right Cloudflare resources across sales, product, support, services, and leadership. You will guide customers from discovery and technical validation through adoption, value realization, renewal, and expansion, while building durable relationships across engineering, security, infrastructure, product, and executive teams. Responsibilities • Strategic account technical leadership: Own technical relationships and account strategy for a focused portfolio of strategic customers; align architecture and engagement plans to customer priorities and Cloudflare opportunities. • Executive and stakeholder partnership: Build trusted relationships with technical and executive leaders; lead strategic discussions, briefings, workshops, and reviews that connect technology decisions to business outcomes. • Enterprise architecture and transformation: Design Cloudflare architectures and phased roadmaps for complex environments, identifying cross-platform opportunities and dependencies. • Opportunity shaping and technical validation: Lead discovery and technical validation with account teams, including solution narratives, demonstrations, proof-of-concept plans, and resolution of complex objections. • Adoption, value realization, and risk: Coordinate internal teams and partners to support deployment, track customer outcomes, and address adoption risks—without replacing implementation owners. • Commercial outcomes and expansion: Connect adoption to retention, renewal, and expansion; identify
