Overview Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team based in the UK or Ireland. This position plays a critical role within the EMEA Platform Engineering organisation, partnering closely with teams across the UK, Ireland, and United States to build and operate the platforms that power Fanatics Betting & Gaming’s global software ecosystem. As a Staff Engineer, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership, leading complex technical initiatives across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD systems, and internal developer tooling. You will influence platform architecture, define standards and best practices, and act as a force multiplier for engineering teams by improving reliability, scalability, and developer productivity. What You’ll Do • Help drive technical design and delivery of core platform capabilities spanning cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, Observability, CI/CD systems, and developer tooling • Architect, build, and operate cloud-native platforms on AWS with a focus on reliability, security, scalability, and cost efficiency • Lead the evolution of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based workflows. • Build and maintain internal platform services and tooling that improve developer experience and delivery velocity • Continue to drive Infrastructure as Code and automation practices across teams • Partner with application teams to unblock delivery and align platform capabilities with developer needs • Participate in and/or lead complex, cross-team initiatives and provide technical clarity in
