We are seeking a motivated, technical student to join our Corporate FinTech team as a Business Systems Engineer Intern. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting the full suite of FinTech applications, modernizing finance and business operations through automation, integration, and AI. You'll work alongside finance, systems, and engineering partners across ERP, HCM, Procurement, Supply Chain, and FP&A to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and build scalable solutions for a public company. Some things you'll gain and learn during this internship include: • Hands-on experience across enterprise FinTech applications, including Oracle ERP, Oracle HCM, and Workato • Practical exposure to applying AI and RPA to real finance and business problems • Exposure to corporate finance, HR, procurement, supply chain, and FP&A processes at a public company • Mentorship from experienced FinTech, automation, and technical professionals • Understanding of how system integration and automation drive finance transformation • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, HR, Procurement, IT, and Engineering • Professional development in agile methodologies and project management • Potential pathway to full-time opportunities within our growing FinTech organization Responsibilities: • Support FinTech applications and processes across Procurement, Supply Chain, and FP&A, including Oracle ERP, Oracle HCM, Jira, and Google Workspace • Design, build, and maintain automation workflows using Workato, Python, and related tools under the mentorship of senior team members • Identify manual, repetitive processes across finance and business operations and help translate them into automated, well-documented solutions • Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data across source systems • Support data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy across integrations, reports, and applications • Explore and prototype AI-powered solutions using tools such as LangChain, Workato AI, and UiPath • Configure and maintain Jira automation rules to support intake, tracking, and delivery of FinTech projects • Assist in building reports and dashboards that give stakeholders visibility into financial and operational data • Participate in testing of new automations, integrations, configuration changes, and system updates • Learn to gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional technical solutions • Provide first-level end-user support and troubleshooting across FinTech applications and automated workflows • Participate in stakeholder meetings, process mapping sessions, and training Experience: • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree at a university in Canada (required) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, with a graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028 (required). For any candidates who are master's students who worked between their bachelor's and master's programs: candidates should also have less than 2 years of relevant full-time work experience • Available during Summer 2027 for the internship in Toronto • Working knowledge of Python for scripting, data manipulation, or automation • Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data • Experience with or strong interest in Workato or similar integratio
