Your Impact Procurement is the single biggest cost position for industrial companies , often 60-70% of revenue. Tacto brings AI to strategic procurement so teams can move faster, become more resilient and unlock savings at scale. However, winning a customer takes more than a good platform. It takes a business case that convinces the C-level (primarily CEO and CFO). As our Value Engineer, you own exactly that. You quantify what Tacto is worth to a specific customer, prove it with their own data, and present it to the executives who sign. As the first Value Engineer in a dedicated segment, you are perfectly positioned to shape this function and maximize its impact. It's a hands-on, high-trust role at the center of our deals, ideal for someone who wants to combine procurement expertise, analytical depth, and the C-suite room in one role. Your Tasks Make our AI tangible: Tacto's AI runs billions of spend and finds savings customers didn't know existed. Your job is to demonstrate that with the customer's own data: make sure our solution fits their needs, they recognize the value, blockers are resolved, and the path to a successful implementation is set. Build the Business Case: Construct ROI analyses that stand up to C-level readout standards: real customer data, defensible baselines, scenarios and sensitivities. Your numbers directly shape whether deals are won. Bring the Procurement Expertise: You are the person with in-depth knowledge of categories, procurement organizations and processes. Dig through spend data for price anomalies, bundling opportunities and supplier alternatives, and turn insights into a value story. Own the C-Suite: Lead executive meetings with CEOs, CFOs and managing directors of industrial companies. You present, justify and land the case. Work as a Deal Team: You team up with an Account Executive on every deal: the AE owns the program and the customer relationship, you own the value. Together you form the deal team that gets customers over the line. Shape the Product: Be the voice of sales and customers towards the product team. Channel feedback, discuss roadmap trade-offs from a customer perspective, and know every Tacto module deep enough to demo solo. Your Profile You've worked in procurement or procurement consulting and know categories, negotiations, supplier management and procurement organizations from the inside You're analytically sharp: you find the story in messy spend data and turn it into ROI calculations a C-level trusts You're at your best in front of C-level audiences and stay sharp when they push back You learn products fast and deep, and thrive diving into in-depth technical demos You take ownership across teams (Sales, Solution Engineering, Product, Customer Value) and drive deals forward without being asked You use AI tools to move faster than people expect Fluent in German and English (our buyers decide in German) Why This Role is Awesome Tacto is already the leading AI solution for procurement, running billions of € of spend every month, increasing resilience and saving millions in measurable, tangible spend each week. You'll work closely with the sales team and Tacto's senior leadership, shape the future product roadmap and development, and as the first Value Engineer in your segment you build the function to maximize its impact. What This Role Is and Isn't We want to be honest about what you're signing up for: The day-to-day is deal work: digging through messy spend data, building ROI models, prepping demos, and hitting deadlines set by live sales cycles. It's demanding and detailed, and it's some of the highest-leverage work at Tacto: our deals are won or lost on it. This is a dual role by design.
