Granite, a Bifrost portfolio company, builds sovereign AI infrastructure for Europe: compute, energy and a new generation of sovereign AI technology, running in modular, liquid-cooled containers it specifies, builds and operates itself. Europe is deciding right now where its AI workloads are going to live, and most of the available answers are American. Granite is one of very few teams building the alternative at all three layers at once, run by entrepreneurs with multiple cloud and infrastructure exits behind them. The first datacentres are going live and more sites are in build. Granite is hiring a Marketing Manager to build the path from a campaign to a sales conversation: the marketing operating rhythm, the lead generation engine, and the CRM discipline that turns interest into qualified pipeline. This is the first dedicated marketing hire, so you build the function rather than inherit it. You will report to the CMO and sit in Commercial Leadership, close to the people who own revenue. What you'll do You are the marketing department. There is no team beneath you, no agency roster waiting and no brand system in place, so you buy the specialist capability you need and do the rest yourself. You are measured on pipeline rather than on output. Have one integrated marketing calendar running on a weekly cadence within 90 days, with every vendor coordinated against it. You own the calendar, the cadence, the vendor roster, and the movement of work from idea through execution to measurement. Make the CRM the heartbeat of the commercial organisation by month 6. Every lead entering with a defined source and campaign attribution, qualification criteria in place, MQLs and SQLs tracked, and dashboards showing pipeline contribution by campaign and channel. Build the lead generation engine across performance marketing, LinkedIn, account-based marketing, events, partnerships, thought leadership, content and website conversion, so that every activity captures interest into the CRM. The objective is not traffic or followers. Own performance marketing end to end, measured on cost per qualified lead, cost per target account engaged, conversion to sales conversation and pipeline generated. Not on vanity metrics. Make marketing a predictable contributor to pipeline within 12 months, with a recurring cadence between Marketing, Sales and Customer Success that turns deployments into customer insight, case studies, campaigns and new leads. What we're looking for At least five years in B2B marketing, ideally in technology, infrastructure, cloud, AI, data centres or energy, where the buyer is technical and deals take months to close. You have built a demand generation engine yourself and carried its number. We will ask which number you owned, what it was when you took it on, and what it was when you left. You are still hands-on. You write the emails, brief the agencies and build the campaigns in the CRM. There is no team here to delegate to, and there will not be one for at least a year. You have worked somewhere without a brand system, a budget precedent, a demand generation team or SDRs. If you have always had those around you, tell us what you would do differently without them. You have hired and managed agencies, freelancers and performance partners on a budget you controlled. You can name the CRM and marketing automation systems you have run, and explain how you tracked a lead from first touch through to a closed opportunity. You work closely with Sales, and you can explain a technical product to a non-technical buyer in writing. You live in Europe and can work hybrid. You do not need to be the best copywriter, designer, media buyer or performance marketer yourself. You brief those people, judge their work, and keep it pointed at the same strategy. This is for you if you want to own the whole system rather than one channel in it, and you would rather be measured on pipeline than on output.
