About Us The Collections team owns some of the most foundational features of the Postman platform like Collections, Documentation, and Version Control. These are the building blocks that developers around the world rely on every day to design, test, and deploy APIs. The services powering these features operate at massive scale, and with that scale comes a constant stream of hard engineering problems, from data consistency and storage efficiency to system reliability and performance under heavy load. In addition, the team works on evolving the product through new features shaped by real user needs. The Role We're looking for a Software Engineer who is energized by the challenges that come with scale. If you enjoy solving complex problems that don't have easy answers, have a bias for action, and want to help shape how a high-scale platform is engineered end to end, this role is for you. You'll also help shape where the product goes next, building experiences used by millions of developers. What You’ll Do • Own and build secure, performant, and scalable end-to-end experiences for Postman, tackling day-to-day challenges around scale, performance, and reliability. • Work with agility . Move quickly, make pragmatic trade-offs, and iterate fast to deliver incremental improvements. • Improve quality and reliability by strengthening test pipelines, and proactively addressing bottlenecks and technical debt. • Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver solutions that meet both technical and user needs. • Help define and drive engineering best practices including code quality, system design standards, and operational excellence, while contributing to the engineering culture through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and mentoring peers. • Contribute to new features and product improvements driven by user needs and innovation, including quickly building functional prototypes for internal and external use-cases. What We’re Looking For • 2-4 years of experience , with a track record of building and shipping features at scale. • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js and databases (SQL/NoSQL) which preferably includes query optimization and schema design. • Strong Computer Science fundamentals - algorithms, networking, and operating systems, along with a genuine curiosity for solving scale-related challenges. • A strong sense of ownership and agility . You see problems through from design to production and get things done even under ambiguity or constraints. • A collaborative mindset . You communicate well, work confidently across teams, and can chal
