We are the pragmatic dreamers inventing and re-inventing the world of streaming media. What is the role? Roku pioneered streaming to the TV and continues to innovate and lead the industry. The Senior Software Engineer will contribute extensively to the embedded UI framework development, working closely with system architects to develop new features and extend current capabilities to improve system stability and performance. This role involves building and maintaining tools to improve the quality and consistency of Roku OS logging data, creating Python-based automation to extract, analyze, and validate log usage across large codebases, and developing offline pipelines for processing logs to support pre-merge validation and automated data contract generation. You will write and review C++ changes in embedded codebases to ensure accurate and reliable logging, and partner with UI infrastructure, firmware, and CI teams to integrate tooling into developer workflows.
