About the Role Join the core infrastructure team of a fast-growing energy technology company building the operating system for the next generation of European energy. The platform combines a modular billing engine, low-level energy-market communication protocols, and a full accounting ledger — delivered as a headless, API-first layer that enables hardware companies and energy providers to launch dynamic electricity plans rapidly. As a Backend Engineer, you will work across highly complex, distributed systems that power real-time electricity pricing, billing, and market integrations. This is a high-ownership role for engineers who love designing for scale and operating with autonomy in a fast-moving environment. What You'll Do Solve for complexity through design — Architect clean, maintainable solutions to inherently hard infrastructure problems in energy billing and market communication. Scale the core — Contribute to scalable, reliable backend services that handle dynamic pricing, billing flows, and ledger operations at volume. Bias for action — Move quickly and decisively; ship meaningful work and iterate with purpose. Raise the bar — Uphold and improve engineering standards through code review, documentation, and thoughtful system design.
