What this job can offer you This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space in Employee Lifecycle Operations, by joining our Employee Lifecycle team. As a Senior Occupational Health & Safety Specialist you will ensure that all activities related to the occupational health and safety of employees are performed effectively, compliantly, and on time across multiple countries supported by Remote. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and managing vendor partnerships, driving the contracting processes, and be in charge of rolling out all events related to health and safety across the globe for Remote’s employees. What you bring • Occupational Health and Safety experience covering multiple countries and regions • Hands-on experience managing the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) process and implementing required accommodations • Experience scouting, onboarding, and/or managing vendors and partners • Ability to quickly engage and support external employees and vendors across multiple countries • Good analytical skills, ability to map and implement new processes • Team player who works independently and communicates proactively and positively • A growth and problem-solving mindset. You can shift tasks and priorities when circumstances change and do so quickly and effectively • Writes and speaks fluent English. Additional language proficiency will be considered a plus. • It is not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus Key Responsibilities • Manage and execute solutions for Occupational Health and Safety matters with minimal supervision across multiple jurisdictions to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all Remote employees and prioritizing a superior employee experience for Remote’s clients and employees. • Lead the ADA Process for employees requesting job accommodations due to medical conditions or disabilities. Evaluate medical documentation, perform job demand analyses (JDA), and assess physical requirements of essential job functions. • Partner with HR, legal, operations, and external healthcare providers to evaluate, recommend, and implement reasonable accommodations (e.g., adaptive equipment, schedule modifications, modified duties). • Manage integration between Workers’ Compensation , FMLA/STD/LTD , and ADA to facilitate safe Return-to-Work (RTW) / transitional duty plans. • Serve as an internal point of contact
