Department Description Growth is a critical function at Allica, sitting at the intersection of marketing, product, sales, and data. Our team is responsible for driving sustainable and scalable customer acquisition, engagement, and retention—ensuring our banking solutions reach and resonate with the right SMEs at the right time. Growth is both a science and an art. We blend commercial strategy with deep customer understanding, leveraging data to uncover new opportunities while ensuring every touchpoint aligns with Allica’s mission to empower established SMEs with the banking they deserve. Role Description The Growth Manager will play a key role in driving effective and sustainable growth across Allica's BRA customer journey — from onboarding through account activation and into deeper, embedded product usage. This role focuses on understanding customer behaviour end-to-end, identifying where customers stall or disengage, and building the strategies and capabilities needed to move them forward. Using a data-driven approach, the Growth Manager will lead the design and delivery of initiatives that improve activation, engagement, and long-term customer value — often working with limited precedent and translating diagnosis into tools, frameworks, and ways of working that the wider business relies on. They will build alignment across marketing, product, sales, RM, and data teams, ensuring growth strategy is coherently applied across the customer journey. This role is ideal for someone with strong applied critical thinking, a track record of leading initiatives with real ambiguity, and the ability to build stakeholder alignment without formal authority over the teams they influence. Principal Accountabilities Customer Behaviour & Cohort Analysis: Lead analysis of customer behaviour, lifecycle stages, and cohorts to identify key drivers of activation, engagement, and product usage, delving into complex problems to reach root-cause understanding rather than surface patterns. Data-Driven Insights & Strategic Recommendations: Own the growth and engagement metrics that matter most for the customer journey, translating insight into strategy that shapes how the team and wider business operate. Experimentation & Optimisation: Manage a robust experimentation pipeline, designing, prioritising, and overseeing tests across initiatives to ensure impactful, evidence-based decisions rather than one-off analysis. Stakeholder Collaboration & Alignment: Build alignment across departments; marketing, product, sales, RM, and data, managing differing stakeholder expectations to keep initiatives progressing. Framework & Capability Building: Take diagnosed problems through to operational reality, building the tools, scoring frameworks, and processes that other teams adopt and rely on. Leadership & Ownership: Manage multiple objectives concurrently, ensuring accountability for outcomes even where the path forward isn't well precedented. g. high-growth start-ups, consulting or similar) is a plus. Proven experience conducting complex data and performance analysis, ideally using SQL to work with large datasets.
