Engineering Manager: Regulatory Reporting Data The Regulatory Reporting group is a foundational pillar of Adyen's licensed financial operations. It enables Adyen to meet its obligations to regulators, central banks, and supervisory authorities across the globe through accurate, auditable, and timely reporting. The group delivers the data pipelines, models, controls, and reporting products that demonstrate compliance with regimes such as tax, prudential and statistical reporting. It is a key driver of Adyen's license to operate and of the trust placed in us by regulators, merchants, and partners alike. As an Engineering Manager in the Regulatory Reporting group, you will lead a cross-functional team of talented and motivated individuals to deliver reporting products that are accurate, reliable, timely, scalable, and auditable. You will work closely with Compliance, Legal, Finance, and product development teams to translate evolving regulatory requirements into robust engineering solutions, and to set a new standard for how regulatory reporting is built and operated across the company. What you’ll do • Impact-Driven Leadership: Drive the team autonomously toward success by focusing on measurable business and organizational outcomes that reduce operational friction and manual effort in the reporting cycle. • Strategic Stakeholder Management: Effectively "manage up" and exercise influence across the organization to align regulatory reporting initiatives with Adyen's overarching vision — and to make sure compliance obligations are understood and resourced early rather than late. • Formula Fit Execution: Champion the "Adyen Formula" by launching fast and iterating based on real-world feedback, while respecting the hard deadlines and accuracy bar that regulatory submissions demand. • Product Discipline: Partner with product and compliance peers to lead prioritization and roadmapping, pragmatically balancing technical debt, incoming regulatory change, and the delivery of new reporting capabilities. • People Management: Act as a dedicated mentor and coach to grow engineering talent. This role involves growing the team (hiring and headcount planning) and focusing on the development of the current team. • Technical Guidance: Provide architectural direction for large-scale data and software engineering projects, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and auditable end-to-end. We expect a player-coach mindset, where you balance people management, strategy, architecture and hands-on work. • Team Environment: Cultivate a culture of ownership, autonomy, and open communication where constructive feedback is the norm. • Market-Driven Innovation: Proactively identify emerging market trends and regulatory technology (RegTech) innovations, and apply these insights to drive process improvements, automation, and strategic advantage for the team.
